Video: Nittany Lion Sports Report: Michigan State Outlasts Penn State, College Football Playoff Projections

By Bob Long on November 8, 2017

We opened the show with a discussion about Michigan State’s walk-off walk against Penn State at home, and the crushed College Football Playoff hopes. We brought on Adam Bittner of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette to break it all down with us, including the question of whether this has been and will be considered a successful season […]

NFL Pick 6: Week 7

NFL Pick 6: Week 7

By Kevin McClernand on October 22, 2017

Well we haven’t pick a winner in the last 2 weeks, so let’s practice a little. 1. Jets at Dolphins. Kevin: Dolphins. Their win last week in Atlanta might be a turning point for this team and their defense is legit. Bill: The Jets have 3 wins. That is 3 more than they should have. […]

NFL Pick 6: Week 4

NFL Pick 6: Week 4

By Kevin McClernand on September 28, 2017

Jake Elliott is the man! That is all. On to the questions. 1. The Jags absolutely destroyed the Ravens last week. Is this just a strange result in England, or is there some truth to the game? Kevin: The Jaguars defense is legit. I own them in my fantasy leagues and they are going to […]

Analyzing the CFP Rankings Pre-Championship Week

By Bob Long on November 30, 2016

In this week’s BLS Radio Show, we discuss the latest College Football Rankings delivered by the Selection Committee, as well as the commentary from Kirby Hocutt, the Committee Chair. Should the winner of Penn State/Wisconsin and the Big Ten Champion, pass Michigan if Washington falters? Pass Washington even with a win? Could Hocutt’s comments lead […]

NCAA Tournament First Thursday Recap

By Bob Long on March 19, 2010

Wow, what a day.  I am still trying to catch my breath from the first day of the first round of the NCAA tournament.  Slightly over 12 consecutive hours of NCAA basketball brought us buzzer beaters, upsets, and upset scares that will define this year’s NCAA tournament. Let’s start with the first slate of games, […]

**BLS NOT CALLING PCL SEMIS**

For Thursday evening's Philadelphia Catholic League semifinal games (La Salle vs. Bishop McDevitt, Roman Catholic vs. Neumann Goretti), Bob Long Sports is not permitted to broadcast the games, per a contract with the Philadelphia Catholic League with JAKIB Media. JAKIB Media will be producing an audio-only broadcast, on 990AM in Philadelphia. That is the only way to access the game this evening, as well as the Philadelphia Catholic League Final on Monday, February 25, at 8:15pm. We apologize for any inconvenience, and will return to continue broadcasting La Salle action at the District XII game, which will follow in the days after the Philadelphia Catholic League championship game.
