Another week completed, and another huge blow to our Vikings?!?! But the Pick 6 must go on.
1. We play each other in fantasy, so by how much is Bill going to lose?
Kevin: By how much is a tough question. Our league is very unconventional, so a number wouldn’t mean much to everyone, but let’s just say A LOT!
Bill: This morning I sent out my weekly update. For this first time EVER, I am predicting myself to lose. These are sad times my friends.
2. The Seahawks have struggled so far, and have only scored 21 points. Despite their struggles they still have to be a huge favorite to win the division though, right?
Kevin: Yea, they have to be. The Cardinals have looked awful, and needed OT to beat the Colts, and the 49ers and Rams just aren’t good enough to go over .500.
Bill: 49ers and Rams in a HUGE Thursday night matchup tonight (JK, the may pull the worst TNF ratings ever). The Cardinals have looked awful because they ARE awful. The Seahawks look like the worst bunch since 2011, when they went 7-9… But 7 or 8 wins probably wins this division.
3. What are the chances the Giants draft a QB in the first round next year?
Kevin: Eli looks bad, but so does their O-line. That being said, they will be bad, and will be drafting a QB in the top 10. I give it 90% in the first round and 9% in the second round.
Bill: I despise Eli. However, I think he is getting way too much blame for their loss. The offensive line is awful and 99% of their offensive prowess (Odell) is not fully healthy. They were overrated to begin the season and are showing their true-ish colors. With a healthy Odell they go .500 or so and miss the playoffs. Maybe people will finally see how overrated Eli is. I agree they take a QB early this year.
4. The Eagles are throwing the ball a lot. Blount didn’t run the ball at all in Week 2. Are you worried about the offense?
Kevin: I do have worries, but Chance Warmack is going to start at LG this week which gives me hope. Wentz really needs to clean up his fumbling problems but I think they can still win the division. Also, it seemed like Wentz and Alshon were able to get on the same page last week which is awesome.
Bill: I am not worried at all. This team is 9th in scoring offense through 2 weeks with a completely incompetent play-calling scheme. I think the pressure from fans to run the ball (including fans chanting at the practice facilities… I love our fans) and just plan common football sense will force the Birds to run the ball more often going forward. This offense is better than I expected!
5. Trevor Siemian looked good last week and the Broncos destroyed the Cowboys. Can the Broncos be a legit contender?
Kevin: I still don’t believe in Siemian, but the Broncos did win the Super Bowl with a depleted Peyton Manning. The game against the Cowboys was also at home, so I think their only chance to be a contender is if they get to play at home. Right now I would put them on the fence of Contender/Pretender.
Bill: Definitely a legit contender. Siemian looks incredible but I do not expect him to keep up this level of play throughout the season. However, the Broncos D looks incredible and if he can be average (which I think he can be) they are a threat to win it all.
6.The Jets were upset with Marshawn dancing on the sidelines? Is his dancing uncalled for?
Kevin: Absolutely not. The Raiders were playing at home and killing the Jets. This is sports! They can’t be too serious and I love that Marshawn realizes this. If they don’t want him to dance on the sideline how about they don’t lose by 25.
Bill: Your last sentence sums it up. Having Marshawn back is so good for football.
PAT or Go for 2? (Tied 3-3)
PAT: Bengals @ Packers (Bill)
2 Point Conversion: Browns (Kevin… I think?) @ Colts
