To open this edition of Philly’s Phinest, with Chris Pierangeli and Kevin McClernand, we previewed the match-ups for the three Philadelphia college basketball teams in the NCAA Tournament beginning with a preview of the play-in game between the La Salle Explorers and the Boise State Broncos followed by a discussion of La Salle’s chances of going far in the weak West Bracket (Start-13:50). Next, we analyzed the match-up between Temple and North Carolina State (13:51-19:31). Then, we looked at the key players and aspects of the intriguing match-up between Villanova and North Carolina (19:31-26:34). After the break, we had an in-depth discussion reflecting on the official news that Andrew Bynum was done for the season, reevaluating the trade that brought him to Philadelphia, and considering potential replacements at center for the Philadelphia 76ers including Greg Oden (29:24-44:56). For the final segment of the show, we discussed the worst free agent signings of the Philadelphia teams over the past few years and revealed our Bonehead of the Week (45:22-Finish).
