In this week’s Bob Long Sports Radio Show, we discussed the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs at length, including the second round Flyers vs. Devils series (Start-15:35), the Coyotes vs. Predators series (15:35-20:57), the Rangers vs. Capitals series (20:57-32:18). We then discussed the lack of traditional hockey franchises remaining in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, especially in the West (32:18-47:35). We closed our NHL discussion with an analysis of the Blues vs. Kings series (47:35-52:05), and then moved on to talk about the biggest stories in Major League baseball, including the turned tables in the AL East, the troubles in Boston, the Angels’ slow start, Matt Kemp’s MVP caliber April, and Bryce Harper’s debut (52:05-1:13:10). We came back from break talking soccer with our BLS Soccer Contributor Alex Chrostowski, discussing the Manchester Derby between City and United at length (1:15:53-1:27:10). We then continued our soccer discussion on the Manchester Derby (1:27:10-1:48:21). We then discussed the NBA Playoffs with Kevin McClernand on the phone to close the show (1:48:21-Finish).
