ESPN College Gameday made its weekly appearance on Saturday, this week at Villanova University and The Pavilion. Fans lined up early in the morning, and some even camped out overnight to ensure a great seat for the event. Hosts Rece Davis, Digger Phelps, Hubert Davis, and Jay Bilas entertained the crowd for two hours, talking college hoops and leading the crowd in cheers. This was all in preparation for a 9PM tip between Villanova and Pittsburgh, two of the top rated teams in the Big East. Pittsburgh won a sluggish and sloppy game in which both teams were without their best shooter (Villanova, Corey Stokes: Pittsburgh, Ashton Gibbs). Brad Wanamaker and Nasir Robinson did just enough to allow Pitt to hold on to a 57-54 victory. This news feature describes the atmosphere all day on the Villanova campus, and gets insight from Gameday anchors Rece Davis and Hubert Davis.
